1. Who we are

Wedding Photos ("we", "us") is a service operated by Monika Mąka, ul. Granitowa 20, 42-202 Częstochowa, Poland. Contact: [email protected].

2. The service

Wedding Photos lets a couple ("account holder") buy a storage tier (or use the free tier) and get a QR code and a shareable link for their event. Guests scan the code or open the link and upload photos straight into a shared gallery - no account or app needed on the guest's side. The account holder can then view, download, and manage the gallery. That QR code and link double as the gallery's access credential: anyone who has either one - not only the guests you meant to invite - can upload photos while the upload window is open and, unless you hide the gallery from your dashboard, view everything already uploaded, with no further login or verification. Treat the link and QR code the way you'd treat a password, and don't post them somewhere public; if one is ever compromised, you can generate a new access code from your dashboard's "Danger Zone", which invalidates the old link and QR code without affecting photos already uploaded.

The free tier gives you 50MB of storage. Paid tiers (Podstawowy/Basic, Standard, and Premium) are a one-time purchase per event, each giving a 31-day upload window with a storage cap based on an approximate photo count (see our pricing page for current numbers). The window starts at 00:00 UTC on your chosen event date and runs through 23:59 UTC on the 31st day after that - the start date itself counts as the first day, so guests get 32 calendar days of upload access in total. There is also a Flex tier: instead of using our storage, guest uploads go straight into the account holder's own Google Drive via Google's OAuth sign-in, using the restricted drive.file scope - we don't retain custody of those photos. Flex is not "unlimited" storage; its limit is whatever free space is available in the account holder's own Google account. Flex account holders can also turn on video uploads from their dashboard (off by default, one file up to 1GB); when enabled, guests can upload short videos alongside photos, straight into the same Google Drive folder. We don't compress or re-encode videos - they're stored at the original quality guests recorded, with embedded location and device metadata stripped the same way it is for photos (see our Privacy Policy).

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account and access link.

4. Payments and refunds

Paid storage tiers (including Flex) are billed as a one-time payment per event via Stripe. Payments are handled directly by Stripe - your card details never touch our systems. If something goes wrong with your purchase, contact us at the email above and we'll sort it out on a case-by-case basis - refunds aren't automatic once guests have started uploading photos.

5. Data retention and deletion

On the Basic, Standard, and Premium plans, galleries are automatically deleted 12 months after the event's upload window closes. Deletion and the reminder email are both handled by our nightly maintenance job, which runs once a day at 03:00 UTC - so in practice, the reminder goes out during the first nightly run on or after the 14-days-remaining mark, and deletion happens the same way once the 12 months are up. On the Flex plan, photos - and videos, if you've turned that on - are stored in your own Google Drive rather than on our servers, so nothing is deleted at the 12-month mark - at that same nightly run we disconnect our app's access to your Drive account and email you the name of the Drive folder your photos are in. You can permanently delete your account (and, on non-Flex plans, all photos) at any time from your dashboard's "Danger Zone". Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

6. Guest-uploaded content

Guests upload photos - and, on the Flex plan where the account holder has enabled it, videos - voluntarily via a link the account holder shares. As explained in our Privacy Policy, the account holder is the data controller for the personal data in that content - we act only as their processor, under Article 28 RODO/GDPR, and every account holder confirms this when registering. That means the account holder is responsible for informing guests that photos and videos will be collected and shared with them, for moderating/removing any content that shouldn't be there, and for obtaining any parental or guardian consent required under applicable law before guests photograph, film, and upload images or videos of minors. We are not liable for content guests choose to upload.

7. Copyright infringement and content removal

As a hosting provider, we're not liable for content stored at a guest's or account holder's direction unless we know it's unlawful (Article 14 of the Polish Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means, implementing the EU e-Commerce framework) - in practice, a "notice and takedown" process similar in spirit to the US DMCA. If you believe a photo or video in a gallery infringes your copyright, violates your image/likeness rights, or is otherwise unlawful, email [email protected] with: (1) a description of the work or right at issue, (2) the gallery link and/or filename of the material, (3) your contact details, and (4) a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized. We'll review the notice, disable access to the material if it appears well-founded, and notify the account holder, who may submit a counter-notice if they believe the removal was mistaken. Accounts used to repeatedly upload infringing or unlawful content may be suspended or terminated.

8. Acceptable use

Don't upload illegal content, use the service to harass anyone, attempt to access another account's gallery without authorization, or try to disrupt the service (e.g. automated abuse of the upload or login endpoints).

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Polish law and applicable EU regulations.
