No. They just scan the QR code or open the link - guests land straight in the event gallery and can upload photos directly from their phone's camera, no sign-up and no app required.
Your gallery stays up for 12 months after the upload window closes (roughly a year after your event). On Basic, Standard, and Premium we send a reminder email 14 days before deletion so you have time to download anything you want to keep. On Flex, your photos live in your own Google Drive from the start, so there's nothing to delete - at the 12-month mark we just disconnect our app's access and email you the name of the Drive folder they're already in.
With Basic, Standard, and Premium, photos go to our servers within a fixed storage limit. Flex works differently - photos go straight to your own Google Drive, so your limit is simply the free space on your Google account (the free 15 GB tier, or your Google One plan). It's not unlimited storage, just storage that lives on your account instead of ours.
Every photo a guest uploads is automatically stripped of EXIF metadata and GPS location during processing, so where a photo was taken never leaks out. You can also permanently delete your account and every photo yourself, any time, from your dashboard's "Danger Zone" - deletion is immediate and can't be undone.
Yes, as long as the event hasn't started yet - you can change the date yourself from the dashboard. Once the event is underway or has already happened, date editing locks automatically - just email us at [email protected] and we'll take care of it manually.
Paid tiers are a one-time payment per event, handled by Stripe - we never see or store your card details. If something goes wrong with your purchase, email us at [email protected] and we'll look into it case by case.
Two optional features you turn on yourself from the dashboard (both off by default). The live slideshow is a fullscreen view of guest photos you can put up on a TV or projector during the reception - new photos appear on it automatically, no refresh needed. The virtual photobooth adds a button for guests to take a photo straight from their phone's browser, in a decorative polaroid-style frame, without using their camera app separately.
Two more optional features, off by default. The digital guestbook lets guests leave a public written message - with an optional name - alongside their photos. View analytics shows you aggregate numbers: total photos, an upload timeline, and how many times the gallery and individual photos were viewed. Neither one tracks or groups photos by who uploaded or viewed them - we don't collect that.
